Care by Design supported the development of the Delivering Quality and Value Guides for Fractured Neck of Femur; Frail Elderly Care; Short Stay Emergency Care.
NHS Institute - No Delays Team
Care by Design co authored the web based service improvement directory; created case studies of clinicians and teams delivering radical service improvements that enabled achievement of the 18 weeks patient journey; arranged and chaired web seminars to support the understanding of how to achieve No Delays; Facilitated the Commissioning Network for 18 weeks and the development of a guide for commissioners; supported an NHS Secondary Care Trust to pilot the use of the Patient Journey Analyser.
Leicester City PCT Community Nursing Services
Created and delivered a 12 month leadership programme for community adult nurses at Band 6 – Band 8A; facilitated the application of LEAN methodology within the Single Point of Access (SPA) service.
Delivered workshops on productivity and applying the FISH philosophy for all Adult nurses.
Facilitated the development of a 5 year strategy for community nursing in Leicester engaging all nurses in its development.
Public Sector Consultants

Sub contracted to support the development of commissioning of continuing healthcare in Halton and St Helen’s and managed the pilot of convalescence beds within a community setting.
Derby City PCT
Facilitated a workshop for the domiciliary Physiotherapy service on developing a LEAN approach; value stream mapping and matching demand to capacity to reduce waiting times. Within 3 days the team had reduced the waiting time by 3 weeks.
Derbyshire Social Services
Facilitated a workshop for senior members of the Social Care; local government and Primary Care Trust teams on ‘Developing a Shared Understanding of Personalisation and Services Designed with Service Users and Carers’.
British Association of Medical Managers (BAMM)
Facilitated a discussion between Consultant s on the ‘Competencies Required of Mentors to support the Appraisal Process of Doctors’.
